Scott Konopasek and his wife Julia, who have been together for 40 years, have settled in Rockville, Virginia, close to their aging parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Together, Scott and Julia are proud parents of three grown children and six grandchildren, representing three generations of the Konopasek family who live, work, and play in the 59th District.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French, along with a Master of Arts in Political Science. As a member of the US Army, he graduated from the Defense Language Institute and the US Army Command and General Staff College. He is a sought-after expert on Virginia elections and all matters related to election administration.
As a dedicated advocate for voting rights and democracy, Scott consults with the Carter Center on democracy and elections projects. He also serves on the Governing Board of the Ranked Choice Resource Center and the Advisory Board of the Election Reformers Network. Active in several democracy-focused national veteran organizations, Scott has over 30 years of experience as a local government public official, ensuring electoral integrity and the right of all eligible citizens to have their voices heard. He is a committed opponent of corruption, fraud, and political influence, relentlessly identifying, investigating, and prosecuting those who manipulate and betray the public trust.
Scott recognizes that our republic and individual rights are under siege, particularly concerning Virginia elections, which are vulnerable and risk depriving everyday Virginians of their right to freely and fairly choose their leaders. After a long career of service, in this time of manufactured political chaos, Scott Konopasek feels compelled to serve democracy once more—this time as the representative for the 59th District in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.
